CAVALRY END
CAMP AND ANNOUNCE 2008 ROSTER
Wyoming Cavalry
camp began a week ago (March 15) and ended today with Media Day at
the Casper Events Center. About 75 fans and a full slate of
Wyoming media turned out for the Cavalry's Media Day at the Casper
Events Center.
It was a
typical media day," said Cavalry General Manager, Mike Layton. "We
talked a bit about the upcoming season and the AIFA, Kids were
entertained by Custer, Coach Majic introduced the players, fans
mingled and got to know the "new guys", players played ping-pong
with some of the kids, and the media interviewed coach and
players. Thanks to everybody who came out. It was cold, snowy and
the Easter bunny was hiding eggs all over town. We
appreciate those that came out to support us."

Director of
Business Operations, Argeri Layton, announced that the Cavs' road
games would all be broadcast via an audio web cast. "We are happy
to report that you'll be able to hear all the details of the Cavs'
road games, via the Internet," said Layton. "On game nights (Away
games only), go to our web site. You'll see a link that says,
'Listen to tonight's Game'. Click the link and you'll hear the
game, just like it was on radio. We have seasoned sports
broadcasters that will be doing the play-by-play; we'll have a
pre-game show and a post-game wrap up."
Layton also
encouraged the fans to view the Cavalry web site for updates, and
especially the Cavalry community calendar. "Check it out to see
where you can see - and hear - your favorite players," said
Layton.

"As always,
you'll be seeing these athletes quite a bit around town - outside
of the football field," said Layton. "The Cavalry Community Corps
program allows us to give back to the Wyoming communities."
The Cavalry
players led the 4th annual Disability Walk at the Eastridge Mall
on March 1; read to students at University Park in honor of Dr.
Seuss' birthday; and helped out at the Casper Rec Center during
the Basketball tournament last weekend.
