May 30 - Cavalry at home vs.
Arizona Adrenaline
May 1 kicked off the Cavalry's partnership
with the Casper Young Professional Network (CYPN) for a month of
activities to
"Help Homeless Students in Natrona
County"
Monies, and other items donated
will be announced at the Cavalry's Home Game May 30
FACTS:
1) NCSD #1 Homeless Program began in 1999 with 19 students.
2) Currently, the program assists 200-250 homeless students a
school year, on limited funding. These are the students that are
known to be homeless. Many others may exist that don't know what
to do, how to ask for help, or who to ask for help.
3) Homeless students range in ages from pre-school to seniors in
high school. Some have never been in public schools.
4) Homeless students live in shelters, cars, campers, tents,
doubles up, or coach hop from place-to-place with friends.
5) Students in the program are assisted with enrollment,
transportation, school supplies, and educational support.
